Yes…its fall, but give it time, the leaves will be changing soon and you will want to be ready to snap off some shots of the color foliage before the leaves fall from the trees and you will have to wait another year.
Something I decided to start doing today (and should have been doing it all along…but thats another story) is to bring along my 5D3 with me when I go out walking. Sure I may look a little out of place considering I am a local and folks will wonder what the heck I would be taking pictures of…but you can never tell when that one moment will approach you from behind and if you’re not ready you will miss it.
This shot was taken at Heritage Park in Allentown, NJ. Its a quiet and very secluded park nestled by trees all around. If you didn’t know where it was in town, you would literally miss it altogether. Not alot there as parks go, but it does have a walking or jogging path around the park that is 3/4 mile and I will usually do 2 laps with the misses whenever we go there. There are other parts that are photo worthy but you have to look. Today I was prepared with camera in hand and snapped off 10 shots as we walked around. I have the full set of shots over at my google plus site and I placed a couple shots in my gallery.
So thoughts to take away from this post…..never leave your camera at home in a bag in a closet. Keep it close to the hip whenever you go out. Now I am not saying to take it food shopping or to the doctors office but you if you are heading out to an event, or just going out for a walk…be prepared and be ready!
